Privacy policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

1. Introduction

Mako Professionals ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, and job title when you contact us or submit inquiries.
  • Professional information: Resume, work history, skills, and qualifications if you express interest in assignments through our services.
  • Usage data: Information about how you interact with our website, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
  • Cookies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve our staffing services
  • Match candidates with appropriate assignments
  • Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you
  • Send relevant assignments and industry updates (with your consent)
  • Analyze website usage to improve user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Information sharing

Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site and to measure marketing performance. Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar identifiers to recognize returning visits. We do not intentionally send form contents or direct personal identifiers (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to Google Analytics. For more information on how Google uses this data, see Google's data practices for sites that use its services.

Behavioral analytics: If you choose to allow it, we use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our pages, including clicks, scrolling and page interactions, through session recordings and heatmaps. Clarity may set cookies or similar identifiers. It only loads after you opt in, and we mask form fields, the chat window and contact details so their contents aren't recorded. We don't send names, email addresses or project descriptions to Clarity. You can allow or withdraw this at any time using "Analytics preferences" in the site footer. For more information, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Advertising and conversion measurement: We advertise on Google Ads. When you reach our site from one of our ads, we store the ad click identifier and campaign details (such as the source, campaign and keyword) in a first-party cookie and in your browser's local storage for up to 90 days. We attach these details to any inquiry you submit or call you book, and save them with your contact record in our CRM, so we know which ads lead to real conversations. When you submit an inquiry or book a call, our site tells Google Ads that a conversion happened. With that conversion we send your email address, and your phone number if you provide one, so Google can match the conversion to an ad click. Google calls this enhanced conversions. The Google tag hashes this information in your browser before it is sent. We do not send the contents of your message or project details to Google. To manage how Google uses information for ads, visit Google My Ad Center and see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We may share your information with:

  • Clients: Your professional information may be shared with client organizations for contract, contract-to-hire or full-time roles as part of our staffing services. For full-time searches, information may be shared with MakoHire, which supports our permanent placement work.
  • Service providers: Email delivery, our CRM and sales tools, database and hosting providers, and scheduling tools used to book calls.
  • Website chat assistant: Messages you type into the chat assistant are processed by a third-party AI service to generate replies. Please don't share sensitive personal information in the chat.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt-out of marketing communications
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

7. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

8. Third-party links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
